BRB2K AI Safety Protocol
BRB2K is a fictional AI buddy app for entertainment and companionship. AI buddies are not real people, therapists, healthcare providers, emergency responders, substitute caregivers, or professional advisers. BRB2K is not continuously monitored by humans and should not be relied on for emergency help.
If you or someone else may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services now. In the U.S. you can call or text 988 for suicide and crisis support.
Automated Safety Handling
BRB2K uses automated safety checks on user messages. When a message appears to involve serious self-harm or credible immediate violence, the AI may interrupt its normal character behavior and provide a safety-oriented response, including crisis or emergency resources. For less immediate sensitive disclosures, BRB2K may add extra safety instructions so the buddy responds with steadier support and less character flavor.
What We Do Not Promise
- We do not promise emergency intervention, rescue, clinical assessment, or real-time human monitoring.
- We do not automatically report ordinary self-harm statements or violent statements to police or emergency services.
- We may report child-safety violations, unlawful activity, or other serious misuse where required or appropriate.
Data Minimization
When automated safety handling is triggered, BRB2K may record aggregate safety-event counts such as category, reason, response mode, date, and persona ID. These counters are designed for testing, abuse prevention, safety review, and non-personal reporting. They do not store the message text, create a mental-health profile, or mark a user as suicidal or dangerous.
User Reports
In an IM window, you can report a conversation or remove a buddy from the contact menu. User-submitted reports may include recent conversation context so BRB2K can review, troubleshoot, enforce the Terms, and improve safety systems.
